It’s Friday and that means I give a list of my favorite content marketing blog posts. Or I give my favorite blog posts and my boss John Cass edits out all the ones that have absolutely nothing to do with creating content for the web.
5/2/09 Joe Pulizzi gives “42+ Social Media Marketing Tools,” which I sort of used to grade myself, and make my marketing efforts better. Do you have a Google Profile? Do you know what Ning is? Do you Squidoo? Joe gave a pretty comprehensive how-to for online marketing and the links make everything super easy.
5/2/09 So Drew McLellan posted about a package he got and what “A Little Grasshopper told (him).” I used to write for Women’s Wear Daily and we would get free stuff all the time and had the exact same competitions. One time, we got Lip Venom…..which hurt…really badly. Then, you would hear, “I dare you put it on your arm.” “I dare you put it on your stomach.” “I date you put it on your _____.”
5/3/09 The post that sparked, like, 400 other posts. (In other words, read “Google Loses ‘Backwards Compatibility’ on Paid Link Blocking and PageRank Sculpting,” before you risk sounding completely out of the loop.)
5/4/09 John Cass makes some good points about customer relations in “How High Should You Set the Bar for Customer Service with Social Media Engagement.” I have had great online customer service with GoDaddy and Facebook and in both cases I bought more stuff because of it.
5/5/09 Hubspot spouts ways to promote your blog without looking like a jerk in “Secrets to Building Your Blog: Think of It Like a Job Search.”
