There are no hard rules about how long SEO optimized content should be, but in the age of short attention spans and the need for large databases full of SEO content, it’s good to pace your output. If you’ve hired an SEO writer to do a series of interviews for articles on your site, consider breaking up that content into small, easy to read sections. Creating optimized content from there is a breeze—don’t have your SEO writer publish the Q & A as a raw transcript; instead, have your SEO writers create a more narrative-style piece with plenty of good keywords.

If you look at the massive amount of SEO optimized content on the web, you may find the interview format is not as plentiful as tips and straight articles. That’s because interviews can be a bit pricier than articles or tips—but the payoff of an interview is definitely worth the expense. How? Imagine the head of your company giving that interview, pushing the new agenda without appearing to be self-serving or in sales mode? The interview is an excellent way to urge readers to do something in a format that’s attractive and doesn’t have the taint of the hard sell. The next time you need to hire a writer, consider bringing them on to do interviews with members of your company and crafting that material into powerful SEO content.
