August 8th, 2011 by

Welcome back to the work week! A few weeks ago I wrote a blog about handling social media while you’re on vacation. Well, by the same token, there are some precautions you should take regarding privacy before, and during, vacation. All of our digital devices are chock full of private information. Outside of simply using common sense, there are a few tips we can employ to help keep our information safe and avoid any significant privacy risks.

Coming soon, Google+ will finally release its highly anticipated brand pages. Some are arguing that Google+ will offer a better branded experience than Facebook. Why? This opinion piece from Mashable presents 4 reasons.

I’ve mentioned before that custom-designed QR codes are becoming increasingly popular. Researchers at Lab42 conducted some research to figure out “what makes certain codes so scanworthy.” This infographic shows some of their very interesting discoveries.

On the same topic, there are still quite a few folks who have never even heard of a QR code. If you’re one of them, check out A Marketer’s Guide to QR Code Technology.
