At ideaLaunch, we’re clearly wild about content marketing. We talk a great deal about optimizing content – and with good reason: Using search engine optimization techniques (check out some these free SEO tools we’ve developed) is one of the best ways to increase Google ranking and drive traffic to your website.
Your content needs to be engaging, informative and entertaining and not just a listing of weighted keywords – but we have to admit something else:
Looks are important too.
It may be shallow, but if your webpage looks like it’s been hit by an ugly stick (or worse – a boring stick), people are going to fly toward that back button so quickly they might injure their wrists.
Layout matters. Imagery matters. Text density matters. Font matters. Color matters.
