Easy Tricks for Choosing a Lipstick Color
If you have several barely used lipstick containers at the bottom of your makeup bag – you aren’t alone. Choosing a lipstick color is tricky. What may look good in the store, doesn’t always look great once you get it home. But understanding which lipstick tones will best complement your skin tone, can help you achieve a more beautiful lip look.
Consider your skin tone. For dark skin, choose plums and deep red tones. Those with lighter skin tones should consider pinks and shades with orange undertones.
Decide if you want a daytime or evening look. For a subtle daytime look, stick with matte finishes, and lighter colors. An evening color can have a high gloss finish and be darker in color.
Try mixing colors. If you have a couples shades of lipstick colors you love, get creative and mix them. This can create a unique shade that will look seamless with skin tone.
