Lighting Needs
Beyond the light in the ceiling of the office, task lighting is important. You can have desk lamps, halogen floor lamps near your work area or in a cubicle, lights underneath your shelves.
It's important for employees to have an extra source of light at their desk to reduce eyestrain and headaches.
Natural light is important if possible but in large offices, not everyone can have a window seat. Plenty of lighting options will reduce eyestrain and glare. If possible, use a mixture of incandescent and fluorescent lighting and light areas with extra lighting where tasks occur such as printing, copying and lunch or break room areas.
