Questions to Ask at an Interview

Job interviews are usually packed full of questions for the job applicant. The interviewer’s job is try to get to know the applicant in a short period of time in order to decide whether or not they are the right person for the job. The person seeking the job however should be prepared with some questions for the interviewer in order to further understand what is expected of the person who is chosen to fill the open position. Here are some good questions you could ask at an interview that will help you get a better idea of what they are looking for in an employee.

1. Why is the position open?
2. What are your expectations for this position? 
3. What is your definition of success in the company?
4. Name some long term objectives you would like to see completed in the future. 
5. Are there advancement opportunities for a successful candidate with great job performance? What is the time frame for advancement?

These types of basic questions will give you the information you need to evaluate the position yourself and decide whether or not this company and job is a good fit for your own needs.
