Creating Your 30 Second Elevator Pitch

Tongue-tied when it comes to telling others who you are and what you do? Prepare ahead of time by developing a short introduction you can use at networking events, business meetings and seminars.

• In one sentence, what does your company do?
• What problem does your company solve for people?
• What call to action can you provide?

Here’s an example pitch based on the above questions:
My name is Ed Winsky and I’m the owner of Flowers-R-Us. We provide affordable floral arrangements for special occasions. When you’re looking for the gift for the person who has it all, we have something that they don’t have—custom flower design! This month we’re offering a special discount to members of this networking group, so if you’re interested, please see me after the introductions.
