Strategic Account Manager

WriterAccess is recruiting a new team of in-house Strategic Account Managers, ranging from Platform Demo Specialists to Content Strategists with advanced content marketing skills. You’ll work directly with customers assigned to you, helping them grow their business organically—the content marketing way!

The Job In a Nutshell

You'll onboard new and existing customers to the platform, learning about their needs and content goals, helping them find writers, place first orders and setup a custom workflow that wins. Depending on your level of content marketing and strategic skills you’ll be assigned customers that look to you for answers, ideas and insights on the latest platform updates, and content marketing tactics, technology and techniques, even outside the WriterAccess platform.

Experience and Skill Requirements

You'll need content marketing passion, and chops ranging from content planning, search optimization, social amplification, and content performance measurement. Core writing and editing skills are essential for this role, offering feedback to writers on quality guidelines, helping customers achieve goals. Advanced skills with keyword research, freelancer management, and experience developing customer journey maps, buyer personas and content plans are a big plus, elevating your starting position and trajectory for growth.

Content Account Managers are the next jump up, supporting specialized talent recruiting, content management for more complex projects, larger team support, spot-checking content quality and increasing the lifetime value of customers making sure we deliver great content and great service along the way.

Strategic Account Managers are Gurus, working with our biggest customers that often look to us for a fully outsourced content marketing solution, delivering a steady stream of higher quality content necessary to achieve goals.

But that journey is a prep for your graduation when you’re ready, namely starting your own content marketing agency, consultancy or speaking tour, sharing your wisdom with clients and fans.

What We Want

  • 1 to 5+ years of content marketing experience
  • 1 to 5+ years of journalism, writing and/or editing experience
  • 1 to 5+ years of client service in an Agency or SaaS environment
  • Content strategy and/or inbound marketing certification a big plus
  • Experience with marketing automation platforms a big plus
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail-oriented and organized
  • Enthusiastic, creative and committed
  • Self-directed, motivated and proactive
