LifeTips.com Launches New Site Design to Meet the Needs of Users
Boston, Mass., August 10, 2001 — In their continued quest to provide users with free "Living Improvements for Everyone," lifetips.com has updated their site design with a no-nonsense, sophisticated look created to heighten the level of interaction between users and the lifetips.com Gurus.
"Our audience simply requested easier ways to navigate through our content-rich database of 50,000+ tips," announced Byron White, lifetips.com CEO. "We listened, and now we're delivering the goods."
White also noted, "In feasibility studies, we found that many of our users are, in fact, Gurus themselves; they want to participate with the e-learning activity on the site. By providing effortless navigation, we can encourage them to suggest new tips, links, books, products, and even articles, to our Gurus for publication considerations. Users will help determine the future content of our sites," he added.
Muted, earthy tones now welcome guests to the familiar features of this community of 500+ niche sites including listings to 25 Channels of Knowledge, Big Brain Tests, Newsletter Archives, Guru Bios and, of course, the tips themselves. Category and sub-category indexes are easily found on the left-hand side of the page enabling new visitors to readily realize that lifetips.com is "the place to go when you need to know."
"In today's dot.com market, many companies are trying to do too much, too fast in the elusive pursuit of instant wealth and riches," said White. "They are failing to focus on strengthening their customer service programs, and this is where I believe, lifetips.com will triumph."
"We have always maintained a search capability for visitors on our site with 24/7 access to Gurus. If specific answers to questions are not found immediately within lifetips.com, users have the opportunity to 'Ask the Guru.' In general, responses come within 12 to 24 hours," he explained.
Most importantly, is the recent addition of the "Random Tip" feature taking center stage on the site. Readers are encouraged to give feedback to Gurus by rating the tips with a "thumbs up" or a "thumbs down." And with every click, a fresh tip will be presented for viewing. Immediately below the Random Tip, users will notice a new advertising program designed to fit every budget.
"Our move toward 'pay-for-click' text advertising is fulfilling our advertiser's needs as well," White stated. "With an established base of 30,000 opt-in tipzine subscribers and traffic growth of 10-30% per month, merchants are already reaping the benefits of increased performance for their targeted advertising dollars."
